Violet Hours is a new event series for sapphic and queer women who want something more considered than another night in a bar. Launching in Manchester and Leeds this autumn, we’re creating intimate gatherings around live music, wine, shared tables, artists, and conversation.
An intentional kind of sapphic social life.
Manchester and Leeds have brilliant queer nightlife, community groups and grassroots events. Violet Hours is being created as an additional space.
This is for queer women who want culture, company and atmosphere without everything revolving around clubs, dating apps or late nights.

Come as you are, on your own.
Every Violet Hours evening is designed with solo attendees in mind — interactive hosting, communal seating and natural ways to meet people. You do not need to bring anyone. You will not be left standing at the edge of the room.
Launching this autumn.
The first Violet Hours events will be small, intimate and intentionally hosted. We are starting with cultural evenings before growing towards a larger summer gathering for queer women in and around Manchester and Leeds.
For women who want more than a night out.
Violet Hours is for sapphic and queer women in Manchester and the North West. You might be single, partnered, newly out, long out, new to the city, returning to queer spaces, or simply looking for a different kind of social calendar.
You do not need to come with a group.
You do not need to know anyone.
You just need to want to be in good company.
